First I appologize to those who have been following me and my trip but the person who I had used his laptop left here and I just am making it back into the computer room today. I am going to sum it up of course but The group from my church got in about a week ago and it has been great. Pastor Mike left that Friday which I was supposed to go with him to the airport but i wasnt woken up and it was very early.
Anyways, The three of us guys continued on the work down in the forest below and finished digging around the trees and we moved on to ripping stumps out of the ground which is a pretty tireing job. Its rained alot though so the amount of work we want to do is not what we have been doing. Also we have been doing our devotions every day with Lazaro and Brandy and a couple times in the church with all the students. We got to play alot more with the kids and spend some good time with God. I am really blessed by the people here. So to sum it all up real quick alot of good time in prayer, worship, working, fellowshiping, and just doing what we feel God is leading us to do.
Today I went with Lazaros wife Glendy to Xeparquiy where one man was murdered by gun over what I think was crops. We went to there house where alot of people came to give gifts and to comfort the family. He was a father and a what seems to be a good husband. I was a very somber time. But something I never first hand experienced before here. His coufin was lying out and we sat around it for a while. His kids were so young I dont think they understand what was going on. But so we got back and everybody began painting the room. We had devotion at 2 where a pastor from Mobil, Alabama came and shared. Its been a nother rainy day here in Panimaquin which pushes our work further back. Tomorrow we are going to Chimaltenango to help with an orfanage for specially handicapped kids. God bless you all and I will try to update before I leave.
